Get the basics right
Balance and footwork with the bat. A repeatable bowling action. Clean catching and ground fielding. Work on the fundamentals that hold up under match pressure.
Train with purpose in the nets
Give every net session a focus: shot selection, control of line and length, or an area your coach has identified. Use the feedback, make the adjustment and practise it again.
Turn preparation into match practice
Time in the middle develops more than technique. Learn to build an innings, bowl to a plan and respond to the match situation. Back your preparation and play your part for the team.
